Welcome to our website.....

Saint Patrick's School is located in the rural Riverina city of Griffith. Griffith is part of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area. The school can be found adjacent to the Sacred Heart Church, has modern facilities and large playing areas for our students.

We have students from Kindergarten to Year 6 with three classes at each year level.

St Patrick's School is part of the Sacred Heart Parish. We are a welcoming community which provides a safe and secure environment, within which our students receive high quality education in all Key Learning Areas. Our staff are fully committed to their vocation as Christian educators.

Saint Patrick's is a systemic Catholic School which operates under the guidelines and policies of the Catholic Schools Office, Diocese of Wagga Wagga. The Catholic Schools Office in Wagga directly assists us with many aspects of school life.

Community News

We wish all our families all the blessings of the Easter season. We hope that this is a time for your families to celebrate all the blessings of the season. School resumes again on Tuesday 3rd April.

Enrolments for 2019 are now officially open. Your child must turn 5 before February 2019 to be eligible. That means that their year of birth should be either 2013 or early 2014. Please call to the School Office for an enrolment package.

Week 10, Term 1 (April 2-8) each year we hold 3 Way Conversations, involving parents, students and teachers. A 3 way conversation is a genuine partnership between home and school. There are no secrets, students feel empowered and respected and acknowledged contributors to their own learning. We want students to share the responsibility for their own learning. Consequently they need to be part of the decision making, goal setting and feedback process. The format of this conversation is to

  • Allow the student to discuss their learning goals and display the work they have achieved so far this year.
  • To provide parents with the opportunity to discuss how their child is going.
  • To provide teachers with the opportunity to give an overview of your child’s progress and learning needs.

We have allowed 10 minutes for the conversation. (We will be holding these conversations during Week 10; April 2-8).  If you have specific concerns you would like to discuss for a longer period of time please arrange a meeting time at a later date with your child’s teacher. Specialist teachers will be available if anyone wishes to make an appointment to see them. 3 Way Conversation bookings are made through SOBS our on-line booking site. SOBS will be open for bookings from Wednesday 21st March. At this stage Year 1 will not be open until Term 2, Week 1. See our latest newsletter for instructions. If you are having any trouble at all with our online booking program please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.

Our outdoor re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross will take place once again this year between the 600-700 blocks. All parents are invited to this significant event in the liturgical calendar. It will take place on Thursday 29th March at 12:00pm.

School photos are taking place on the Thursday after Easter (5th April). Please be aware that all students must be in full summer uniforms. This includes: Girls; If hair is below shoulder length it must be tied up.
